About Aly Clarke

Aly fell hard for the physical rush and mental calm she found in the practice of yoga and pilates. In 2013 she hopped a plane to New York and spent a year immersed in the movement of the city, learning from master teachers and infusing her own offering with poetry and myth, Ayurveda and Daoism.

Returning to her hometown of Sydney, she signed on as marketing manager and teacher at Sydney's iconic BodyMindLife, and played an integral part in broadening the Australian Yoga and Pilates landscape. With an inclusive vision and accessible voice she welcomed a diverse community of people through the studio doors, drawing from the best local and international talent to punctuate regular class offerings with music, meditation, trainings and events.

In her 8 years with the group she formed strong relationships with incredible teachers from around the world, studying under Noelle Connolly, Shiva Rea, Simon Park, Maty Ezraty, Patrick Beach, Sindar Kaur, Joan Hyman, Dylan Werner, Anna Forest, and more. She partnered with brands including Yoga Journal, Wanderlust, Lululemon and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation to stage world class events, and worked with local government to offer the studios as safe and welcoming spaces for the LGBTQ community.

During this time Aly also co-founded Yoga Cucina, a boutique wellness business that replaced the ‘brown rice and silence’ of traditional yoga retreats with a winning combination of inspired movement and Italian food and wine.

Today she continues to consult for leading yoga brand Rare in Bondi Beach, while teaching intelligent and creative Yoga, Deep Stretch and Pilates classes in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
